Random Makes started as a result of combining my skills as a teacher of textiles with the enormous collection of vintage fabrics that I had amassed!
I regularly stand at handmade fairs and Arts markets with my range of functional and decorative accessories including glasses, scissor and crochet cases, as well as brooches and medals, all adorned with illustrative free-hand machine embroidery.

Having trained in Graphic Design, I love the illustrative qualities that can be achieved using applique and machine embroidery to capture everyday objects. I often incorporate vintage fabrics and components such as buttons and trim, into my work.

I also produce embroidered artworks, and welcome commissions from clients to capture houses, pets, people and much more in appliqué and stitch
